Well as you can see Joy is hard at work sanding the last of the keel project. Of course, in my role as Chief Gofer I am taking the picture.
Seriously, we are having a great time. We can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Today is final keel painting with the special rust preventative paint. Tomorrow is prep day and painting the hull and keel with the epoxy base coats and the first layer of the epoxy barrier paint. After tomorrow, we have two more days of painting. The rest of the epoxy barrier paint, and the final top coats of the hard paint which helps keep the barnacles off the hull.
Our plans are to leave around June 10th. We pushed it back a little as Josh and Rachel will be traveling through Cleveland on the way to their new life in Baltimore on June 6-7.
