Utica, NY
Hello
We left Brewerton, boat in excellent shape, financial assets took a beating. We knew it would cost what it did. But that is what having a boat is all about. A black hole that money falls into. Do you know what the word BOAT stands for?
Break Out Another Thousand!!
We travelled 50 miles today down to Utica NY. The marina here has no power, so nobody wants to pay the fee of $1/ft. The collection person has not come by to see us yet. The people in front of us refused to pay. We shall see what happens if she comes back.
We are going to try to stop at Illon, NY and tour the Remington Manufacturing Museum, it is supposed to be a very interesting example of American technology back in the 1800s.
Todays pictures are from Lock 20 on the Canal, thought you would like to see how deep the locks can get. Joy and I hold ropes, in this lock we are going up. The locks the rest of the way will be downhill locks.
That is it for now
Joe
